If memory serves right, there are quite few Pokemon I'm interested that can be found in this cave. That and I'd like to train Lu and Treecko up to level ten as soon as possible. The cave entrance should be around here somewhere...
Rugged pants for breath filled the air as a blur of blue and grey raced around the bend. Rocks and grass skittered and split with each of his steps. Blazing past the route sign indicating he had arrived at the Humming Tunnel, Toshi kept pushing himself until he was enveloped in the dimness of the cave.
As light filtered through cracks in the ceiling here and there, Toshi looked around in awe. Excitement surging through him as he would finally begin his first adventure. His destination was the gym in Aquarin City but he figured passing and training in Prum Peaks would be a good starting point. The downside to choosing to start in the North region of Iwos, was that Genos controlled the area. But he didn't let that deter him in fact he used it as fuel for for the flames of his revenge.
Stepping further in, a sound started the teen as something emerged from the shadows. Taking a look, he realized he had encountered a Level 4 Whismur. Snagging a pokeball from his hip, Toshi clicked the button and released Riolu.

"So...where to go to find some bloody pokemon..." Luna said as she wandered near a cave entrance, the evee that was on her shoulder replying with a quiet call before looking in the direction of the cave entrance to get it's trainer's attention. "What is it Genesis?" the teen asked as she looked at the entrance too, tilting her head in an animal like fashion as she mulled over what could happen if she entered the cave. "Nah, can't be that bad can it girl?" he said with a chuckle before walking into the large entrance, the evee nodding and calling out it's name, fascinated by the echo that was produced by the cave. "Hmmm...I think I hear something..." she said with a smile as she heard the call of a pokemon and the voice of a trainer, running to find the source. After a few seconds she turned a corner to find a trainer and his Riolu fighting a Whismur. "Alright..." she said with a smile before throwing a poke ball. "Dusk, let 'em have it!" she yelled as the Deino appeared, letting out a small cry which drew the whismur's attention. The wild pokemon rushed up to the deino and attacked it with a pound, knocking the small creature over. "Dusk, dragon rage!" Luna commanded the pokemon which responded by getting up and unleashing a small blast of energy from it's mouth, knocking the pokemon out instantly. "Pretty weak..." she said as she went over to her Deino and recalled it before looking at the other trainer, her black coated lips curling into a smile. "You wouldn't think it's practically a baby would you?" she asked the teen. Battle stats Whismur used pound= 7 dmg to Deino (calculated)

Quick attack would probably be the most effective move here, thought the silver haired lad as he sized up the sound Pokemon. Drawing in a breath, he prepared to issue the command. "Lu, use-
"Dusk, Dragon Rage!"
Shifting his eyes to the source of the voice, his gaze befell the outline of what appeared to be a Deino and its trainer. A dark haired lass that seemed to be barking orders at the dark dragon who quickly followed her orders causing the Whismur to faint instantly. Dragon Rage swelled within the teen as he realized that his first battle had been snubbed by some wannabe trainer that came out of literally nowhere. Suppressing his disdain, the young man stood tall and recalled the the fighting Pokemon and opted to allow Treecko to roam around for a bit.
As the grass gecko pawed around him, Toshi looked up to the girl and responded to her inquiry. "Given its experience I DIDN'T receive, I'm willing to bargain that it was rather low in level. Nice Deino however."
Turning back to his Treecko, he beckoned for his verdant partner to follow him deeper into the cave. However, before he could even step, a Nosepass scrambled into view. Looking back to the noirette, Toshi called out. "I'd like to handle this one alone."

Luna giggled as the other player replied to her, the anger and frustration was clear in his voice, although he only seemed slightly annoyed by Dusk stealing the glory. "There's always more of them Ya know, and thanks one of the professors accidentally gave me an extra pokemon" she told him as she stroked the Evee on her left shoulder, the furry creature nuzzling into her hand as she did. "I'll let you fight the next one Genesis, Dusk needs to catch up" she said to the creature before the other trainer had found a second pokemon, a Nosepass this time. Luna was about to command Genesis to attack until he requested that she didn't interfere. The girl shrugged before leaning against the cavern wall and lighting a cigarette. "Good luck"

"Thanks" murmured the teen as he focused on the task at hand. Knowing that Riolu's quick attack would be extremely ineffective against the Nosepass, Toshi opted to leave Treecko out. Quickly selecting a move from Treecko's current moveset, the youth settled on Absorb.
"Treecko, Absorb!"Wasting no time, the green bipedal gecko scampered across the cavern floor while creating a pulsing orb between his hands. Launching the manifestation of energy at the nose Pokemon, Treecko continued to move about as it connected. Knocking Nosepass back, the Treecko jumped as an expression of victory but Toshi knew better. Venturing into Genos already, was probably not the greatest of ideas. Ditto had transformed himself into a rock again and was being carried around by a merry looking Fennekin. Zaniah was on a break from the university she studied at, this was a good time to go exploring with her Pokemon. In all fairness, the dark haired girl had been intrigued by what exactly happens in the area that Genos controlled. Myths and legends about the place were rather inaccurate vague...
It was the same. There was no real difference in the land of South Iwos and North Iwos, even the people were equally torn, there were closet Genos lovers in South Iwos, the same way North Iwos saw its share of rebels. Zaniah had an affinity for hiking, it was one of her hobbies while growing up. Opportunities to go for a long hike were rare, thanks to her over protective mother, so she used this chance that she got to trek to her heart's content.
The girl had found herself in a clearing, so far Zaniah had not encountered any Pokemon, judging by the sudden excitement in Oro's eyes, this seemed to be a rather ripe area. With Oro furiously sniffing the ground, it got a small thwack on its nose as a Diglet stuck it's head up from the ground. Diglet! It went, rather furiously, soon it burrowed its way towards Zaniah. "Hey there, little one, what do you need?" It guided her to a spot where to other players and their Pokemon were. Zaniah noticed the poor injured looking Nosepass. "GUYS! STOP. Can't you see it's hurt?" She said going towards the Pokemon with a furious look on her face. The Diglet looked at her in an approving manner. It seemed like he wanted to stop this nonsense too.

Suddenly an new voice echoed into the cavern as Toshi continued his battle. Turning his attention momentarily, he sized up the newcomer. Another lass though she sported brunette locks and carried around what appeared to be Fennekin and a rock. Confused, he shook his head, white bangs switching from side to side as he did, and refocused on the battle. Choosing to ignore her plea, he issued the final command for Treecko to end the battle. "Treecko Absorb!"As the flurry of green energy smashed into the low health Nosepass, it caused the Pokemon to fain on the spot. Groggily sitting up, the Nosepass would scamper off into the tunnel leaving the three trainers, their Pokemon and the random Diglett alone. Turning to the girl, Toshi spoke. "Battling is part of being a trainer. You should know that."

(OOC: Third Post after Diglet spawned, 20% chance of catching. Need 1-20 on d100 to catch.)
"No.... Why!" Zaniah shook her head in dismay, the damage was already done, the weird looking Nosepass lay fainted. She rarely saw such blatant lack of respect for another Pokemon's health. The Fennekin dropped the rock by the dark haired girl's feet and growled softly at the Treeko, but in all fairness, Oro wouldn't hurt a fly, much less engage another Pokemon. Soon the growl turned into a soft mewl, similar to the plea Zaniah had issued. Guess, this was the difference that the girl would have to get used to in Genos.
"No, you don't HAVE to battle, that's the thing, you can just talk to them and help them and things and they'll grow to like you." She took a deep breath in, calming herself and talking in a softer tone. "Oro here, has never battled and we have a lovely relationship, he's fairly strong too, can probably hold his own and all..." Zaniah said, though she had no clue if he could and she wasn't about to try. She gave a faint smile towards the boy, maybe she could change him slowly, that's probably what the Vitalis members would expect if they knew she had ventured into the Genos region.
"You just have to become friends with them and you'd be surprised they're as loyal as they are when you get them by fighting, if not more." The girl added, swooping down to meet the Diglet face to face, who looked rather upset. "Hey, I'm sorry, forgive them, they don't know any better." she apologised to the Diglet, his expression softened a little, but he still looked upset and gave his own little snort towards the Treeco. "Come on, show them that we can be friends, perhaps they'll learn something too." Zaniah said, reaching slowly to pat the Pokemon's head. The Pokemon eagerly sprung higher out of the ground to meet Zaniah's fingers and smiled.
"Looks like it likes me." Tentatively the girl rolled a Vitalis ball towards it, the Pokemon turned into a red spirit and made the ball its home. "There." Zaniah said, relieved that the process was easier that she had thought. "They usually don't like being in closed spaces, some of them are claustrophobic, better get it out." The girl announced, letting the Diglet out and just as she had thought, it looked rather relieved in the open and quickly went underground to move about the way it wanted.

"You're right, I don't have to battle but I choose too. Its necessary for what I have set out to do on this journey." A look of indifference settled into his features as the girl managed to befriend and subsequently capture the Diglett he had seen earlier. "Tch," muttered the teen as he thought over what she said. "If and when the time calls for it, your method may be useful, but here in an area controlled by Genos, its not a concern of mine. Now if you'll excuse me I have a Gible to find." Turning towards the back of the cave, Toshiro began to head back along the path. As he did, a Drilbur shoveled across the ground. "If either of you are interested there's a Drilbur roaming about."Lv. 5 Drilbur (Sand Rush)(Timid)

Lun sighed and looked at her phone as she waited for the other trainer to finish with the pokemon, to be honest she was tempted to steal the glory again but she knew that Dusk could only take so many hits before he was out, even if Dragon rage was a powerful move for lower levelled pokemon it depended on the user being able to strike before their enemy, and the small Deino wasn't all too fast. The teen took a puff from the cigarette in her hand before stroking Genesis who was perched on her left shoulder. "Pretty boring huh Gen? But I guess we gotta wait until he's done with the bloody Nosepass" she said with a huff before hearing something, the voice of another trainer and the call of a different pokemon. "Well...that's annoying..." the mumbled to the evee before walking towards the trainer who was pleading for the male trainer to stop battling the Nosepass. "Yeah, it's hurt but the things are bloody sturdy and you sort of have to battle them" She said coldly to the new player before the boy with the Treeko KO'd it. "Genos doesn't allow the capture of pokemon by any means other than battling, and even then battling is a good way of making your pokemon stronger. Just suck it up, it happens" She told the player, who then went on about capturing the creatures by being friends with them, the usual Vitalis stuff, although Luna wasn't 100% sure if the girl was with Vitalis but if she was she had no idea why she would be in Genos territory. After this the newcomer captured the diglett, but not before saying "They don't know any better" which angered Luna, the girl's black coated lips turning into a frown of anger. "Don't know any better? You're more condescending than my freaking parents" she said angrily, walking towards the other girl. "You're acting like the one who doesn't know any better. Sure, being nice and all lovey dovey to pokemon is great, they're awesome little critters but pain exists and it's an inevitability. (OOC: So if no one pays any attention to the Drilbur, its going to go off in this post, I'm going to let it go, if you want it back, let me know and I'll edit.)
The boy walked away rather rudely after telling Zaniah off. She wasn't suprised, she expected it in this place. The girl just shrugged, she was going to go after the boy and explain when he mentioned the presence of the Drilbur. Zaniah had already proven her point by catching on Pokemon, she didn't need another yet. Plus, for some reason that Pokemon seemed to be chasing the boy who just spotted it, upon not getting any attention from the silver haired boy, it continued on and ran away out of sight. Zaniah was happy it didn't have to face some long battle and got away safely. At this point, the other girl had decided to chip in again. "I'm not condesc-" but before Zan could finish the other one went on. Zaniah took a deep breath and let the girl finish, this wasn't the place to get into a shouting match, especially because allegedly she had broken Genos rules by catching the Diglett the way she did.
"Ok ok, calm down." Zaniah said, unable to control herself as she let a small smile paint her face. She recalled the days when she was a hot bubble of rebellious anger, it felt better to be more at peace now, although if the argument got heated, it wouldn't take long for Zaniah to lose her cool too. "Ok listen, pain does exist, but you don't have to inflict it on anyone, especially if its an inevitable." Zaniah said calmly. "And where can you not get with kindness, that you can get to by inflicting pain and suffering on someone?" Zaniah asked simply. If she had been in a sour mood, she'd probably have flung something at the girl and let her feel pain just to demonstrate what suffering the Pokemon felt. But Zaniah had learned that the world wasn't a great place and she was on Genos turf, so she held her passion back.
Just then she noticed her Fennekin had left her side and found another little Pokemon in the distance, so Oro had carried Stesso away with him and gone to interact with it. Zaniah paid it no mind for the time being, mostly in attempt to protect it from getting into a battle with this aggressive one here. The Diglett was still underground.

Luna grinned as she neared the sableye, the was going to catch it and add it to her team. "We're getting pretty lucky Gen...I doubt there's many dark types here but we just found one..." she whispered to her Evee before nodding to it, the pokemon letting out a small battle-cry and hopping off of her shoulder, it's paws spread wide in a sturdy ready stance. "Ok, Gensis, stand by" she said, the Evee obediently waiting as it's trainer pulled out one of her spare poke-balls, taking a deep breath before throwing it at the creature, which was startled before being sucked into the sphere in a stream of light. "Come on...stay in there..." she mumbled as she watched the sphere rock back and forth. Rolls: qIGNoZ2z1-100
To the girl's dismay the ball burst apart and released the Sableye, which was now quite angry at the fact that some human had randomly thrown a ball at it, and so decided that it would teach the ever so rude trainer and pokemon a lesson. "Sableye!" it called before rushing forth and scratching Genesis, the pokemon managing to hold it's ground, wincing as it was attacked but unshaken. "Well done Gen, we'll get it next time"

(3rd Post with Sableye and Baltoy need 1-20 on d100 to catch either) While the Fennekin interacted with the Baltoy, on a rather psychic level, a Sableye spawned in the vicinity. An intrigued Zaniah went towards it. As expected the moment it appeared the girl was at it. Zaniah had no clue how many Pokemon she had stored up, but if she chose an Evee against a Sableye, either the girl didn't know much about Pokemon, or she didn't have any other to battle this ghost type with. Zaniah ambled her way to the girl. "If you really wanted this one on your team, there really was another way. You'd just be a bit of a fugitive, but it would've been worth it would it not?" The girl had her doubts about whether the ghost Pokemon would be willing to befriend another human after having been attacked by one, but she had to try anyways.
Zaniah walked towards the naughty looking thing. "Hey go easy on that Evee, you'll are all friends right?" It was probably a silly thing to say, that Evee was under the control of her master and it had just attempted to hurt the poor guy. Nonetheless, like she had previously, she reached out to touch the Pokemon. In frustration, the prankster bit her finger. "Ow!" Zaniah reacted, pulling away and moving towards her Fennekin, it was probably a little dangerous to attempt this while it was still reeling from the shock of being attacked. Oro was still busy mewling at the Baltoy, at the moment at least they seemed to be getting along well, though all their interactions were telepathic, so she couldn't really tell.

Luna was frustrated by the fact that the sableye had broken free, she had just wasted a Poke ball and Genesis had taken some unneeded punsihment, but what was the girl to do? The evee couldn't harm the creature due to it's typing, and Dusk would either be KO'd easily by the pokemon or would most likely KO ti himself due to the power of Dragon rage with weaker pokemon. And, as if only to add to her annoyance the other girl stepped in, talking about there being a better way to catch the sabeleye. "Look, if I use your method I would have Genos members on my ass faster than you could say 'hey let's be friends' buddy, I only have low levelled pokemon and I'm not risking losing them. Got it?" she spat coldly before throwing another poke ball at the sableye, once again staring at the wobbling sphere before it shattered and the pokemon broke free. "Sableye, say say!" the sableye yelled before scratching at Genesis again, the evee whining in pain but holding her ground once more with valour. "Well done Gen, hopefully just a little more to go. sx4vu8wY1-100

(OOC: 6th post after Sableye spawn, need 1-40 on d100 to catch) This Sableye was rather good at protecting itself, Zaniah was ever so intrigued and was going to try get on the good side of this Pokemon once again. Ever so slowly she crept up to him. "Hey, it doesn't have to be this way, you can come away with me and it'll all be fine. I won't let anything fight you, unless you really want to fight something, this way, you don't have to." she whispered softly while the other girl, nursed her Evee, at least that's what Zaniah hoped. The sableye growled at her, in a rather unfriendly manner, forcing the girl to retreat again. The Baltoy nodded at her in a sage like manner, so did the Fennekin, they seemed to have reached some consensus in their beautiful Pokemon brains. Stesso remained lying on the ground next to Baltoy, motionless, happy to be playing the rock. The Diglett finally made an appearance, it's head stood right between Oro's four paws. "You should really stop fighting, this guy seems to know what he's doing." Zaniah hissed at the dark haired girl.

Luna gritted her teeth and clenched her hand into a fist as the other girl continued to try to get her to tame the creature without battling, the other girl's tone becoming more hostile. "Look, I'm catching this god damn pokemon one way or another...Genesis can take a couple more hits and I have a couple more poke balls..." she replied before unclipping one of the spheres from her waist and throwing it at the sableye, the creature once again being sucked into the device in a flash of light. "Come on you damn thing..." the whispered under her breath as the ball shook, but to her dismay it burst open. "Crap" was all she managed as she saw the sableye readying an attack. The girl, without thinking tried to jump in front of the attack but luckily the sableye used a ghost type move on Genesis who being a normal type wasn't affected. "Thank...God..." she said shakily, not wanting her pokemon to faint. "I should have one or two more balls left...if I don't catch it my way it'll have to be your way" 6jfoShp51-100 1-100 |

With the Drilbur having scampered off, the silver haired teen was left to his own devices once again. Set on pushing through the tunnel, he began to make headway once more when the bickering between the two girls started up again. Sighing, Toshi turned on his heel and headed back to the duo. The last thing he needed was for them to cause a ruckus and alert the Genos faction members that were more than likely stalking the area. As he neared them, he took note of what the issue was. The seemed to be squabbling over a pesky Sableye. Judging from the remaining Pokeballs on her hip, Toshi deduced the raven haired girl had been attempting to capture the darkness Pokemon for quite some time. Glancing at the girl from earlier who seemed to align with the Vitalis way of doing things, he watched as she spoke and reasoned with gem hunter. Shaking his head, he un-clipped a Pokeball and lightly tossed it at the Pokemon. Snapping up in a beam of red light, the orb rocked back and forth 3 times before bursting, once again leaving the Sableye to do as it pleased. Shrugging it off, Toshi mumbled to the two before turning his attention to the Bronzor that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "I honestly wish I had captured it just to hush you two up. At this rate Genos will be here in take us all on and I know we are no match for that." Deciding to ignore the Bronzor, he kept his eyes peeled for a Gible or another chance to toss a ball at the Sableye.

Oro came upto Zaniah, nipping her clothes and tugging them to get her attention. It looked like the Baltoy and he were getting along too well. If one looked very carefully, there was a small line on the rock that stood beside Baltoy, one that a person could mistake for a smile, looked like the two psychics had kicked it off very well. This was Oro's plea to let Baltoy join the team. While Zaniah was intrigued by the Sableye, there was no way she could deny her sweet Fennekin the friendship he craved. Without thinking twice, she smiled and rolled her Vitalis ball towards the Baltoy. The Pokemon understood the request and promptly complied. Its red spirit form was briefly encased in the Vitalis ball. Once the process was complete, and the Pokemon had sworn its loyalty, as it were, she released the Baltoy again, so Oro and he could chat again.
The Sableye looked towards her sadly. They seemed to have finally made a connection, but Zaniah had been selfish in catering to the needs of her Fennekin rather than help the Sableye. She looked back at him apologetically and hoped he'd make it away from these fighters soon. She wasn't satisfied with her sad attempt at stopping them and vowed to do better next time. The girl tucked a strand of wayward hair behind her ear. "I don't know how you guys don't see this is a much smarter way of doing things too." she punctuated her last attempt at instilling some sense into these people with a big sigh. Unwilling to watch this battling between innocent Pokemon go on anymore, she decided Genos was not really the place for her. She turned to walk away from the duo, wordlessly. Zaniah was sure that her presence was not welcome by them.

This time having a better idea, Toshiro reached into his bag and passed a package to the his Treecko. Nodding towards the Sableye, Toshiro gestured for Treecko to hand the darkness Pokemon the package of food. Understanding the motion, Treecko walked to the Sableye and gave it the Pokefood. After staring at it for a moment, the Pokemon tore into the bag and began consuming the food. Reaching for another Pokeball, Toshiro tossed it at the unsuspecting Sableye and watched as the creature was once again enveloped in a red light. As the ball dropped to the ground, it rocked back and forth. Once, then twice, and finally a third time with the familiar sound of release taking chime as Sableye exited the Pokeball. "Welp so much for that," chimed the teen as the Sableye not only took his food but decided to scamper off instead of sticking around, "Sorry guys," he murmured as he realized the dark haired lass would probably be upset with him now. active pokemon  | 18/20 HP |

Out of curiousity and the guilt that took house in her heart so easily, Zaniah lurked within earshot of the Sableye, just to see what happens to it. The girl sighed when the silver haired boy, suddenly took interest in it and decided to lure it with food. Zaniah wasn't surprised when the clever Sableye took the snack and made a run for it.
Against her better instinct she walked back to explain the nature of Pokemon to these people, who thought it was smart to use them for their benefit in the manner. "They're creatures too you know." She said in a soft manner, hoping that by not being argumentative, she could probably get her point across calmly. "You can't just bait them with a little food, after battling them this way and expect them to follow you around, especially not a clever one like Sableye." She added.
She walked closer to the two in a cautious manner, "You'd be surprised how far just a little respect can get you, it's better than claiming them to be yours when they are scared and weak, because you attacked them." She said, stating what she believed to be rather obvious. "In any case, I hope you guys will learn from this..." Zaniah said hoping against hope. "I understand my methods are not too safe here though..." She added thoughtfully. If they got into trouble because of her, it'd be really bad. Firstly, they'd never trust in her methods and two, she wouldn't be able to help them out of it. The girl would have loved to take down an organisation like that, but this wasn't the time or place, she wasn't ready.
