As the opening widened into view, Toshiro quickened his pace. Light slowly evaporated the dancing shadows as he neared the exit and eventually marking the end of his trek. Or so he thought... "-TITE!" exclaimed the Human-like Pokemon charging into view. Halting, Toshiro readied one of the crimson and white spheres hitched to his belt. "Lets go Lu", he exclaimed while tossing the metallic orb skyward. Within seconds of exiting the red light streaking from the capsule, the bipedal Riolu sprinted towards the Meditite. Glancing towards Toshiro, Lu's gaze awaited a command. Nodding, Toshiro decided that he'd grant Lu's wish for a battle. active pokemon  | 31/31 HP |

Hikoru yawned as he awoke in the frigid caverns. He had heard rumor that some Dragon Pokemon were in the area, even other Axew. He knew that Ace would be interested in meeting other pokemon, so he decided to take advantage of this knowledge and make his way. He had arrived overnight and set up camp in a warmer part of the cave, that was farther underground near the earths core. He set up camp and had fallen asleep to the sound of the icicles above him dripping around from the small fire he had built. He awoke to the sound of echoes and knew it was about morning if it was that early. He shook awake Ace, who only gave a small response as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. Hikoru pet the small Axew with a small smile.
"Ready for today bud?" He asked. The Axew only gave a small nod, and the two of them cleaned up their camp as quickly and quietly as they could, as they didn't want to wake up any violent pokemon. Soon everything was packed away and safely attatched to his backpack, and they were off to find more Dragons, he heard some commotion come from behind him, nearing the entrance. He looked curiously, unsure of how to take this new information. He nudged Ace, who had been resting on his shoulder, and pointed back to the direction of the entrance.
"Want to go see if there's anything around there we may be interested in?" He asked. Ace thought or a moment, and gave a small nod. It was a chance to make a new friend, and to gain a little knowledge to become a stronger pokemon to make Hikoru proud. Hikoru gave a nod back and quietly started to make his way back towards the entrance.

, ordered the blunette. Wasting no time, the Riolu dashed forward. A white light trailing behind him as he raised a paw to strike. Being a combat oriented Pokemon as well, the Meditite prepared for the blow. With a know it all gleam in it's eye, the Meditite braced itself as the Riolu approached, shifting its stance into a more protective state. Raising his leg, Lu swung forward. The kick connected, however the block was inevitable as the Meditite stopped the blow. Jumping back, Riolu looked towards Toshiro for further guidance. Hmm, Meditite is Psychic and Fighting last I checked, and given Riolu is only Fighting, if it knows Psychic-type damaging moves, this could spell trouble for Lu...Reaching for his hip again, Toshi examined his options and selected Treecko. Hikoru heard another person's voice up ahead. He heard the movement and the cries of a few pokemon, and he knew a battle was happening. He decided to play it safe and stay down for a moment to assess and see what was going on. He picked up Axew and set him down, crawling on the ground and taking a peek. It seemed that a player was going after a wild pokemon. Curiosity struck him and he decided to watch. Ace crawled as well over to him, and Hikoru held a finger over his mouth, indicating for him to stay quiet. Ace gave a nod and looked to watch the battle.
"Interesting..." Hikoru muttered under his breath. He hadn't come across another player until now, so this was something that was new to him. He stayed where he was as he returned a Riolu to a green pokemon he hadn't seen before. He guessed that it must have been rare, as he hadn't seen it. He held up his pokedex and scanned the pokemon, covering the speaker and making sure that it didn't speak. He looked to see the pokemon on his screen with the word "Treeko" Underneath.
"Must be his starter..." He said. Professors usually gave super rare pokemon to trainers, so they could have a good and strong pokemon to rely on in their battles. He looked at it's stats, and it seemed to be a grass type, with the possibility of a mega evolution once it's hit it's final form. An interesting choice. He himself wished that he could have gotten a Charmander, but his Oshawott was the only choice that his village elder could get from the nearby professor. He ignored what he wanted to say and went back to the battle, jotting and taking notes of how the trainer fought alongside his pokemon.

Clicking the button centered on the ball, a red beam arced through the air before encapsulating the targeted Riolu and returning it to the dual-colored orb. Replacing his spot, emerged Treecko; the blunette's trusty starter Pokemon of choice. The spikes along the paw of the reptilian flexed instinctively as Treecko inched towards the Meditite. Seemingly unfazed b the change in opponent, the Meditite stepped back and placed it's hands to it's temples as a purple wave of energy swirled toward Treecko. Taking the attack head on, Treecko remained vigilant as it withstood the attack. "Tree!"

Hikoru watched as the Meditite attacked the Treeko, but he took it head on. He was impressed by it's strength. He watched curiously now. This trainer seemed to know what he was doing, and that was something he respected. He decided to stand up and watch silently. Axew got up and stretched, and watched with eyes sparkling. He wanted to go meet the Treeko, but Hikoru stopped him with a pat on the head.
"Not yet little one." He said, and Axew looked a little sad, but nodded and watched from a distance. Hikoru crossed his arms and put his scarf up a little more. It was chilly out here, and he didn't like it. Where he was from there was no cold days or winters. They stayed close to the warmth because that's where the dragons could be found. They perferred the warmth, but before dragons could leave they had to withstand the cold of the mountain near their village. So Axew seemed okay, but he knew he was starting to get frigid. He picked up him.
"C'mere little guy." He said, and set him on the scarf. Ace grabbed the end of the scarf and wrapped up in it. He would warm up quickly, and he knew that it would be better that he stay warm and limber, it would be much easier to battle if he was comfortable. He just sighed and pat his head, and went back to the battle, awaiting to see how it would end.

Dust settled around the trainer and his Pokemon as they faced-off against the wild Meditite. Treecko's eyes flickered towards Toshiro before opening his maw and charging a luminous verdant orb. Meditite leaped back once more before launching another Confusion attack. "Treecko, use Mega Drain!"Lobbing the ball of healing energy, Treecko suffered another blow but not before connecting his own attack. The cave rumbled and shook as the attacks throttled off and sent both Pokemon sprawling. While both seemed to take a hit, Treecko rose first as a green aura covered him; healing a few of his scratches.
"Treecko! Tree!"
"Well done Treecko. Let's wrap this up. We have a gym to challenge and you need to evolve."
Nodding, the Treecko glanced towards the Meditite who had just resumed its stance. Placing one paw out, the gecko Pokemon beckoned for the Meditite to come at him. active pokemon  | 30/37 HP |

Hikoru was amazed as the area around them shook. The cave didn't seen to like that, and a bunch of snow fell above him. He leaped left and dodged the falling snow, but he still had to dive into the snow. He grit his teeth and ignored the bitter bite of the snow beneath him and stood. Ace was able to take the cold well enough and hold on, but had fallen a bit. He picked him up and set him on the shoulder, and watched curiously, with a bit of anger. He walked over quietly. "You know, that snow could have killed me. It would be well for you to watch your surroundings." He said quietly. Axew looked up at him curiously as he drew closer. Hikoru gave a nod to him and he jumped down happily, ready to fight the pokemon. Hikoru just gave a small sigh and put his hands in his pockets, trying to warm them up. He had no interest in catching this pokemon, but it could give a little bit of experience, bringing him a few steps closer to his end goal. "Alright Ace, lets do this, just like we've trained." He said. Ace nodded. "Ax- Axew!" He said in agreement. He felt his knuckles within his pants pockets grow white. This was his first actual battle. No running, no dodging, just pure fighting. The sound of scrambling feet and snow being kicked around piqued the interest of the blunette. Turing from the battle, he caught the eye of another trainer. Words spilled from the newcomers mouth, spewing on about snow and killing people. Unsure what the lad was on about, Toshiro shrugged and retorted. "If snow is such a danger to your health, why come here of all places?" Crawling from beneath the guy, an Axew appeared. Toshiro's eyebrow raised at the sight of the tiny dragon. Hmm, didn't expect that. Though I guess if he hails from a dragon village it wouldn't be uncommon.Nodding off the notion from his mind, Toshiro returned his gaze to the battle between his Treecko and the Meditite. However, before he could rattle off another command, the brunette and his Axew stepped next to him. "Joining in?" he questioned. "Well then let's make this quick and easy, since judging by your stance and pose, this is your first battle. Treecko, Mega Drain once more." Another green orb fired off from the Wood Gecko Pokemon easily connecting with the Meditite again. "Direct Hit."The Meditite only glared, causing the Treecko to stagger back slightly. "Treecko hold your ground." Turning to face the other trainer, he gestured to the Meditite "All yours."active pokemon | 29/37 HP |

Hikoru listened as the trainer looked at him and asked what he was doing here. He just rolled his eyes and gave a sigh. He would only be here to train or look for pokemon. He offered him the last move, and he gave a nod. He looked back at Ace, who gave him a thumbs up, and he knew that things would be fine. Ace had trained for this moment, and he had worked hard to gain what abilities he had gained. He stood and pointed his finger at the Meditite. "Dragon Rage." He said simply. Ace's eyes sparkled and he nodded, breathing in and absorbing energy, then shooting a ball of purple and blue shaded energy at the Meditite, knocking it back and hitting a nearby mound of snow, soon it disappeared from sight, and he knew it wouldn't be getting back up anytime soon. He smiled and got down on one knee, where Ace came and hugged him, crawling onto his shoulder again to warm up. "Nice job buddy, way to take him out." He said happily. He looked at the player. "Thank you for the learning experience, even if it was short. It'll help Ace grow and become stronger much faster." He said. and turned back towards the cave. "And as for that last question, i'm looking for dragons, which are said to be found in this cave. So if you want to tag along feel free, but please try not to get in my way if a dragon appears." thought the youth as the hyper active Axew abruptly fainted the Meditite before them. Toshiro clicked the sphere and watched as Treecko returned within it. He watched as the trainer embraced his Axew and subsequently thanked the blunette for allowing them the opportunity. Waiving the notion off, Toshiro reintroduced Riolu with a quick swap of Pokeballs. Lu stood tall as he re-emerged and glanced over to the Axew. Scoffing the bipedal Pokemon seemed to snicker as he trainer requested that they stay out of his way, should a dragon Pokemon appear. Toshiro flashed a grin at the timid trainer and simply walked ahead with hands behind his head. Trailing the lad, Toshiro chimed in. "If I encounter a Pokemon I want, Dragon or not, I will pursue it. And should you take it upon yourself to intervene because of it's typing, I'll have no choice but to faint your team and leave you here to deal with it. So choose your actions wisely." Knowing the capabilities of the Axew, he knew he was at a disadvantage but between three Pokemon, he was sure he could take it down eventually. That said, he'd rather just explore and level Treecko, Lu, and Oz a little longer. Glancing to the lad, he muttered, "Nonetheless. happy hunt-""CHOO" exclaimed a small cub like Pokemon from up ahead. "All yours if you want, otherwise I'm pressing on." Lu unamused with the cub, turned his nose up to it and continued right past it. active pokemon | 31/31 HP |

Hikoru listened and gave a nod to the player, as he said he would be after any pokemon that he wanted, Dragon or not. He didn't disagree, but he knew that Ace would be a problem for him, as his Dragon Rage dealt 40 Damage, and even Ace himself was only a little above 40 health. He could easily sweep his team if the time came and he was after a dragon, but he would stay silent for now. A Cubchoo soon appeared and wanted to fight. He gave a sigh and looked at Axew.
"Handle this." He said. Ace gave a nod and scrambled down, giving a menacing glare and firing up a Dragon Rage. The cubchoo shook with fear and ran away. Axew cancelled his attack and gave a small smile, then got back onto Hikoru's shoulder. Intimidation, one of the best ways to take care of a weak pokemon. He gave a small yawn and continued to walk into the cave with the new trainer. He didn't need to know names, they were both here for pokemon, so that's what they would be working on. Whether it be as a team or as people in the same area at the same time. He gave another yawn and continued to look around for any dragon type pokemon that could be in the area.

Toshiro watched as the small dragon Pokemon made quick work of the ice cub. Though no attack was used, the fear instilled by the little tyke must've been monumental. Shrugging the altercation off, Toshiro continued to wander amidst the frost-bitten cavern. Though the cold didn't typically bother him, shivers quickly ran along his features with every third step or so. Now would be the perfect time to have a fire-type Pokemon to keep warm. Hmm perhaps that should be my next endeavor.A low hum vibrated throughout the area, causing the blunette to glance from side to side awkwardly. A single red dot shifted along the shadows; swaying from side to side in a rhythmic fashion. To the unknown, the sight may come across as a phenomena, but to Toshiro he immediately recognized the movements and the Pokemon behind it. Shifting his focus to Lu, he ordered the pup-like Pokemon to force the unsuspecting Beldum to retreat. Nodding, the Riolu quickly dashed towards the Pokemon, scaring it and causing it to run off. Shaking his head, Toshiro rubbed Lu behind his ears before continuing. Taking note of the still trailing trainer behind, Toshiro wandered what the lad was thinking as they traveled in silence. active pokemon | 31/31 HP |

Hikoru watched as a Beldum appeared out of nowhere. Although it was a good and strong pokemon to have much later when it evolved into Metagross, it would be of no use to him as he only used dragons. If it were any other way he would willingly try to catch it, but he knew that there were dragons here waiting for a new master and friend to appear, and he would be that person. He gave a sigh and Walked right by, Axew giving a glare and looking back onto the trail. Hikoru adjusted his scarf and cleared his throat before speaking.
"So, since we're both here together, why don't you tell me what your aspirations are as a Pokemon trainer?" He asked out of curiosity. He wanted to see what this trainer wanted to do with his life, and what he planned to make of it once he and his Pokemon had grown stronger. He could only wait and see what would be said, but for now he was content with not knowing anything about him.
