Turning away from the Scyther, Robin continued forward. He ignored the fallen Bergamite completely, exhaustion already reading on his face. He wanted to get this over with! A yawn broke through his lips, and he quickly covered his mouth with the back of his hand. "Let's--" he paused, catching sight of the next unsuspecting Pokemon that he knew Krueger was going to maul just to get rid of 'pests'. However, before the Scyther could move an inch, he let out a sharp, "Wait." The Scyther froze in place, turning his glaring gaze from a Deino cowering behind a boulder to his trainer. "I know we're here for shards, but I want that dragon."
He straightened up, shoving a hand into his backpack to fish out a spare Pokeball. It was time for him to take control of the battle once more. "Krueger, False Swipe." The Scyther charged forward, slashing out with his blades yet restricting his power. It was still enough to make the Deino cry out as it was knocked backwards, and the small dragon struggled to stand up. Wobbling where it stood, the Deino snorted before charging forward blindly, tucking its head and ramming into the Scyther. As expected, it did not do much.

wild deino was captured!
"Alright, let's do this!" Robin chimed, a little more pep in his voice than before. He may be exhausted and sore all over, but he was always energized when it came to capturing a new Pokemon. A wide grin stretched across his face as he clicked the button of the Pokeball, making it grow in size. After a moment to aim, he chucked the Pokeball at the Deino, watching as it soared through the air, knocked against the dragon's head, and burst open to engulf the Pokemon in a bright light. The Deino disappeared within the Pokeball, and the red and white capsule dropped to the ground where it began rocking back and forth.
The capsule chimed three times before it stilled, and the excitement radiated off the boy in waves. "Yes!" He hopped forward and scooped up the Pokeball, beaming at Krueger. "Thanks for not killing it, bud~!" Now he would have to train this one, too... But, another time. Not now. Definitely not now.
A bleat drew his attention away from the Scyther, and he shoved the Pokeball into his backpack. "What's up?" He trotted over to where the Skiddo was pawing at the ground with her hoof, and the Togepi seemed more ecstatic than he had been. His eyes followed their gaze, and there, laying on the ground, covered in dirt and half frozen, was just what they had been looking for. Robin bent down and gently picked up the shard, dusting it off.
"... Let's get the hell out of here."
