I need to train Riolu quickly. He is four levels short of Lu and the two of them need to be on par with each other. Since I'm traveling through Prum and I have to make it through the Humming Tunnel, this should be the time to do it. Alright, it's settled then.Tugging on both of the crimson and white orbs attached to his hips, the sliver haired teen clicked the PokeBalls and released his two partners, Lu and Treecko. Yawning, Lu looked around and stared in awe. In the same fashion, Treecko, begin to investigate the surrounding area. Looking them both over, Toshi called to them both. "Lu, Treecko, time to train."Wasting no time, Toshi led the two Pokemon deeper into the high sitting grass. Having stepped no further than about ten feet, the trio encountered a Geodude.

Nodding, the black and blue bipedal Pokemon dashed forward and launched a lightning quick punch at the mass of rock. Unflinching, the Geodude muttered its name and began to glow a soft green before settling down. Using his expansive knowledge, Toshi reasoned that the little rock Pokemon had just used Defense Curl. "Lu, Return." As the red beam of light streaked through the air, it captured the Riolu and in turn the teen released Treecko. "Treecko, use Absorb." As Treecko entered the battlefield, he nodded to Toshi and placed his paws together. Puling them apart, a green orb began to form. Thrusting forward, the ball of green energy swirled and rammed into the Geodude; instantly causing the Pokemon to faint. "Good work you two."

Petting the Treecko, he summoned Riolu once again and allowed the two to roam about. Their first battle had been a success in his book and the two Pokemon had already began gain experience. A small grin plastered his features as he watched the two tumbled about along the path leading to the Humming Tunnel. Stepping through another tall patch of grass, the sounds of rustling could be heard a little further.
"Lu, Treecko, come here," ordered the teen as both Pokemon came darting out from the path and into the grass with him. Suddenly a wild Spritzee appeared. "Go Lu, use Quick Attack!" Confirming the command, Riolu launched yet another attack at the opposing Pokemon. Seeing that Riolu was completely outmatched by the Spritzee, he decided he would switch out Lu with Treecko.

"Lu retreat! Go Treecko" ordered the the teen as soon as the fighting pup was out of reach of the fairy Pokemon. Scrambling back to Toshiro's side, Lu clung onto the boy's leg as he continued to manipulate the battle. Taking his cue, Treecko emerged from behind the player and landed with a thud right in front of the Spritzee. Startled, the pink fluff of a Pokemon gathered air beneath its wings and launched another Fairy Wind attack. Taking the hit head on, Treecko stood tall and prepared to retaliate at Toshiro's request. Darting forward, the flash of green darted from left to right as it closed the gap between itself and the Spritzee. Cocking back his arm, the Treecko launched it forward; slugging the Spritzee and knocking it into the ground. Un-clipping a Pokeball from his waist, Toshiro let the ball fly directly at the Spritzee. Bouncing off the Fairy type, a bright red flashed as the Pokemon was consumed and stored within the ball. Toshiro watched as the orb rocked back and forth. First one shake, then two, and finally three shakes. Much to his surprise, the orb stayed sealed and locked in place. Disbelief was scrawled all along his face as he collected the Pokeball. "Well lookie there, my first Pokemon. Now I need to heal you three before we continue any further. Fiddling with his backpack, Toshiro grasped two Pokeballs from it and aimed them at Spritzee and Treecko respectively. "Return," he exclaimed as two beams of red lighting shot forward and collected the Pokemon; effectively storing them once again for later use. For now those two can heal up. I will just have to be cautious with Lu until then. Click the red and white orbs into place in his belt, Toshi passed a hand through his bangs before relieving himself with a sigh.
Flexing his fingers, Toshiro looked down to Lu and smirked. "Ready to go?"
"Lu!" exclaimed the bipedal Pokemon as he got fired up to continue on. "Alright let's move then."
Strapping his bag back on, Toshiro pressed forward with Lu. They quickly exited the thicket of greenery, narrowly avoiding Cubone in the process, as they scrambled back onto the main path. However, the encounter wouldn't be as easily swept away as Cubone charged past them and skidded to a halt before them. Seeing no way out of it, Toshiro patted Lu's head and smirked. "Lu use Quick Attack!" With no hesitation, Lu darted forward and sent a lightining fast kick at the Cubone, knocking it back a few feet. Rolling over, the lonely Pokemon, uttered a guttural Growl at Lu causing the pup to tense up.

Knowing that Growl would effectively cut Lu's attack down to nothing given his level, Toshi popped a Pokeball from his waist and aimed it at Lu. "Return," shouted the teen as the red ambient lght collected his Riolu and sent it back into his Pokeball. Clipping it back onto his waist, he selected a different Pokeball and released Treecko. "Treecko! Tree!" exclaimed the gecko Pokemon as it was allowed to fight again once more.
Unsure of what was going on, the Cubone let out another Growl as the grass Pokemon switched in. Seemingly unfazed, Treecko got ready to attack on Toshi's command.

Looking to Toshi, Treecko expected a command but the silver haired teen simply nodded towards the gecko Pokemon and gestured for him to finish off the Cubone in whatever way he deemed fit. Confirming the notion, Treecko lunged forward and sent a manifestation of green energy at the skull toting Pokemon. Absorb connected, quickly dropping Cubone's health; thus causing the Pokemon to faint. Uninterested in capturing the Pokemon, Toshiro beckoned Treecko towards him and petted the verdant Pokemon as they continued further into the cave.
"Good work Treecko. I hope I can continue to trust you on the battlefield. Now let's see what else can challenge us in this area." "Treecko! Tree!"

As the two descended further into the forest, Toshiro began to hear some rather unsettling noise. "Treecko, do you hear that?" "Ko?" Whatever that noise is, it sounds like it's in pain, mused the teen. As the path came to a fork, the moans seemed to grow louder. "Treecko, lets investigate." "Ko!" Taking off in the direction of the sounds, the two sprinted off towards the left of the fork and came to be surround by a thicket of more tall brown grass. Trampling through the overgrown weeds, the duo came to halt as they found the source of the moans. Jake was sent on his usual patrol, which he absolutely hated. Rarely do trainers break the rules and he never gets to do anything exciting. Today, he was supposed to check if everything was fine in the mountainous region. The six-foot tall man walked around lazily, frowning and kicking stones. As he crossed a thicket, he heard a peculiar sound and stopped in his tracks. As he got closer to the source of the sound, he could then hear a human. Making his way through the tall grass, Jake appeared on the other side and noticed a trainer helping a wild Snorlax. Tch! Instead of catching it while it was weak, he first helps it. Such a weakling! Maybe I can bully this kid and snatch that Treecko for myself. Smirking, he walked up to Toshiro and spoke in a commanding, rude tone. “Hey, boy! What do you think you are doing? If it’s hurt, you gotto first catch it and then take it to the Pokemon Center. If you can’t take advantage of the opportunity, then you don’t deserve to be a trainer.” Jake then pulled out his Pokeball and released his Poochyena. “Let’s get them Pride!”

The duo yanked on the thorn, easily removing it from Snorlax's side. Sighing in triumph, Toshi patted the side of Snorlax, glad he he could help the big guy out. He pondered catching the Sleeping Pokemon, when a rather rude voice interrupted his train of thought. A rather tall fellow emerged from the grass. Spouting off nonsense remniscent of the things Genos members quoted, Toshi reasoned that this man was a follower of the faction. Stepping between the man and the Snorlax, Toshi retrieved a Pokeball from his hip and unleashed his Riolu. "Lu, tend to Snorlax and make sure he remains out of harms way." "Lu," exclaimed the pup as he went to guard the resting Snorlax. Treecko taking the hint meandered to his partner's side and stood at the ready. Turning to face the Genos grunt, Toshi smirked. "As for you, I'll show you who deserves to be a trainer. Treecko, Absorb!" Nodding, the gecko Pokemon quickly darted forward charging up an orb of green energy before releasing it and send it smashing into the Poochyena. Seemingly brushing the blow off, the dark mutt scampered across the forest floor and threw itself into Treecko; executing a flawless Tackle in response. Before Jake could order his Poochyena to dodge the attack, the Treecko's absorb hit him. That's one fast Treecko. However, he has trained his Pokemon well and was confident he could take a lot more than that. And he was right. Pride jumped right back up and hit the Treecko with a solid Tackle. "That's my boy! Now, let's power up and show them what we are made of. Pride, Howl!" Jake's Poochyena stood it's ground and prepared to Howl. But before it could begin, Toshiro's Treecko displayed its extraordinary speed again and hit him with another Absorb. While the Poochyena was hurt pretty badly by now, it dare didn't show it in front of his trainer. Pride promptly howled immediately after, raising its Attack power. "Good boy, Pride! Now, let's hit him with an empowered Tackle!" Pride barked and began running towards Treecko again, hoping to land it's Tackle before it gets hit again.

As the second Absorb connected with the pooch, Toshiro smirked. "It seems my Treecko is outclassing that mutt of yours! Treecko, another Absorb!" As the viridian gecko charge up another burst of energy, the Poochyena reared back and tilted its head skyward. A Howl emitting from the canine as a menacing look encompassed the Pokemon. Determination seemed to overflow from the Poochyena as it charged at the Treecko. Unleashing his pent up Absorb, Trecko rolled to the right as the attack connected for the third time. "Nice one Treecko!" "Treecko Tree!" However, the Poochyena still stood. Dirt and wounds caking the Pokemon's coat as it struggled to stand once more. Acting on its owner's orders, the Pokemon charged the Treecko once more. Connecting before the gecko had a chance to react, Toshiro's partner was sent careening into the dirt. Skidding to a halt next to the Snorlax, Toshiro assured the Riolu standing guard, that he had it under control. "Just keep watching him Lu, you're doing fine! Treecko, you ready? Unforutnately, no matter how hard he tries, the Poochyena was no match for the Treecko's speed. Toshiro's Treecko hit Pride squarely as it was running towards the grass-type Pokemon. Poochyena almost fainted, but hung in there with barely any strength. Jake didn't seem to care about how hurt his Pokemon was and was only frustrated about how weak he was. "Get up and hit him, you useless weakling," he barked, louder than his Pokemon. Pride, being a loyal Pokemon, didn't want to disappoint his trainer and ran up to Treecko to complete his tackle. Despite succeeding, the attack barely exhausted the Treecko as he has been draining Poochyena's health since the beginning. The quick Treecko hit him with another absorb and Pride could take no more. He cried in pain and fell to the ground, fainting. "NO! Get up!!!" But it was of no use and Jake had to withdraw him. "You won't get away with this! I'll have my revenge," he screamed. As he ran into the tall grass, something dropped from his pocket.
 Fresh Water - Water with a high mineral content. It restores the HP of one Pokémon by 50 points.

Knocking the Poochyena back with Absorb, Treecko stood triumphant as it rolled over and fainted. Though it put up a nice struggle, it just wasn't enough to keep up with the green gecko. Before Toshi could even taunt the lackluster Genos Grunt further, the man scooped up his Pokemon and turned tail back into the comforts of the tall grass. Upon his exit however, a small bottle of Fresh Water dropped from his person and rolled into the clearing. Picking up the item, the teen placed it in his bag for later use and returned his attention to the Snorlax. Procuring Lu's Pokeball, he withdrew the fighting Pokemon and began to pat the Snorlax. "Nice work Lu and superb job Treecko." Turning to face the Snorlax that had now stood up right, Toshi flashed the Pokemon a genuine smile and showed it an empty Pokeball. Nodding, the Snorlax leaned over and poked the center of the Pokeball. Activating the Capture mechanic, the ball opened up and collected the massive Pokemon in a crimson flash of light. Rocking back and forth, the ball twitched once, then twice, and finally relaxed on the third shake as the ball clicked into place. Picking up the orb, Toshiro reattached the orb to his hip and smirked as he managed to commandeer two Pokemon thus far. I'm that much closer to reaching my goal and in turn my revenge. Stepping from the waves of grass, Toshiro exited Prum Peaks. A couple Rattatas scampered past the teen as he followed the path leading to the Pokemon Center and PokeMart up ahead. "Treecko return!" Ordered the silver haired youth. Clipping the Pokeballs to his waist he picked up the pace as he began to sprint. Dashing from one path to the next, the Center expanded and filled his view. Once he made it to the front doors, he kneeled over to catch his breath. Short break here then on to Aquarin City!
