The boy was a long way from home, not really sure if he was going in the right direction. His home town at Mount Giledo was far behind him, the only thing in front of him right now, was the Genos Headquarters. Excited about the event that supposedly was about to happen, Chishiki was pumped and ready for action. Back when his father told him that he could become a pokemon trainer like his parents, he nearly couldn’t get faster out of the house to get to the Genos Headquarters, only having a world map with him. It did not take him long after his journey to figure that the journey would be long and he would have to stop by at different towns ahead. His parents had given him some allowance to buy food on his journey towards the headquarters.
Today was the day he was going to become a pokemon trainer. Today was the day that he would receive his very first pokemon. Unsure of what kind of pokemon that were at display for him to choose, Chishiki would just think of that when he would see all the pokemon that he could choose from. Not really knowing much about the pokemon world, as he had only been in his town the most of his life, Chishiki was fascinated by pokemon and how they functioned. He only remembered a bit what his father had of pokemon. He could remember something about a fire monkey, something about a dino in steel armor, but names and stuff like that wasn’t anything Chishiki remembered too well, especially when his father wasn’t home that much.
There he stood, right in front of the gates to enter the Genos headquarters. He was few feet away from gaining his first ever pokemon. It felt very great to be standing there, soon to become a pokemon trainer. Chishiki was very excited, nearly jumping up and down, though he would keep that down for now and take a deep breath. He was wearing the normal clothing that he would normally wear. His black suit of clothing, from top to toe and the red coat over his black suit. On his hip was a scabbard with a blunt arming sword he used for honing his arts of fencing. His hands were covered in white gloves, giving him more dexterity with his sword. He would exhale as the gates would open and he would enter the building.

Jarvis trusted very few of his generals and Tojidofukuto was one of them. The man was known for his epic skills in keeping the wild Pokemon in check and training them to their full potential; all in the freezing Mount Gelido. So, when his son Chishiki was recommended to join Genos, Jarvis saw no reason to deny it. If the boy was at least half as skilled as his father, he would be a great asset to the organisation. And from what he heard, Chishiki was fond of swords and Jarvis had the right thing to offer to motivate the kid. Wanting to meet Chishiki personally, he asked his assistant to squeeze in fifteen minutes into his schedule that morning. And the receptionist Julie was promptly given all the information about Chishiki to ensure there is no delay. Julie didn't understand the special treatment when she was told to direct a new recruit, who was only sixteen years old, directly to the big boss himself. This is absurd! Nevertheless, she wasn't one to judge what Jarvis does and why he does it. She was here to please the man by doing her job right so that she can aim for that promotion sooner than later. Hence, she dedicated an entire half hour that morning to ensure everything goes smoothly when Chishiki arrives; from his joining papers, to his welcome drink. And every time a young man enters the HQ, she would immediately look at Chishiki's picture on the table to see if he is the one. The poor woman was falling back on her other tasks because of her anxiety in doing this single thing right. It was weird how everyone feared Jarvis despite the man seldom getting angry. Before Chishiki, two other recruits arrived and they were quickly dismissed to sit on the couch and wait. When Chishiki entered, Julie would identify him instantly and quickly walk up to him with a broad smile. "Hello Mr. Tojidofukuto! We have been expecting you. Please take a seat and have a drink while we finalise the formalities. Jarvis will be ready to meet you by then," she said, pointing to the empty couch on the other side. If Chishiki sat down, he will immediately be offered a plate filled with an assortment of different non-alcoholic drinks to choose from by the in-house waitress. "Please let me know if you need something that isn't here. I'll be more than happy to fix it immediately," the cute waitress said with a genuine smile. Julie would be back with the papers Chishiki has to read and sign, and guide him through the process. The two recruits who were here before him sat there with their jaws dropped, looking at him in envy after realising he too is new here like them. Once the paperwork was done, Julie would walk him to the elevator that takes him directly Jarvis's office. If Chishiki entered the elevator, Julie would give him her signature smile again and wave him goodbye. "Jarvis is waiting to meet you. Have a good day Mr. Tojidofukuto," she would say as the elevator doors begun to close. (OOC: I'm sorry you had to wait Chishiki . It has been a little hectic. Steel is refined iron ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ Chishiki was finally ready to go inside the big headquarters building. He would take in a deep breath before opening the gates, he exhaled as the gate’s doors would open up and reveal the big foyer he was about to step into. His ponytail and bangs would be waving in the air slightly as some air seemed to be flowing in from the outside, making his hair flow forward. He would begin to take a few steps into the building before he was met with a big smile and very nice words, something he did not anticipate to be coming to him at all.
“Uhh .. uhm … he-hello?” he would reply, shocked by this new experience. He was taken by surprise by this nice gesture that came out of nowhere. He wasn’t too sure if it was like this for everyone who came into the headquarters, maybe it was standard procedure? It seemed like they had been expected him, which didn’t shock him as his father had sent a message to the headquarters, but he wasn’t expecting the greet to be like this. “Uh .. yes” he would say as she gestured him to sit down and he would do so.
The chair was comfortable, very. It was better than most of the furniture back home, so it wasn’t that big a surprise at all, as this were the Genos Headquarters after all. It also seemed like someone named ‘Jarvis’ was supposed to be meeting him. “Who might that be?” he would ask himself in his thoughts as he would be offered drinks by a waitress just as he sat down. “Uh … I’ll take … that one” he said and would grab one of the glasses with an orange liquid, hoping it to be some kind of citrus juice. He wasn’t too afraid of dropping the glass as his gloves gave him a good grip onto the slippery outside of a glass.
He nodded at the comment from the waitress and gave back a smile. It didn’t take too long before the woman that greeted him would come and give him some papers he had to read through and sign. Just by a few minutes after reading and signing, Chishiki would thank for the drink and the nice service. He could feel the stares of the two other who were sitting in the same room as him, the stares hurt just slightly, but it wasn’t too much for him to handle. The papers were done, read through and signed and Chishiki would be helped towards an elevator that seemed to go to this ‘Jarvis’ person.
He would enter the elevator and would also receive a very nice smile from the woman who had helped him through all the introducing paperwork and alike. He would bow his head slightly as he was hoped for a good day “Thank you very much, and you too” he would say and lift his head back up as the elevator doors closed. He wasn’t sure who this person he was supposed to meet was, but it surely felt like he was a very special person. The elevator would move in a reasonable speed for any vertical transport and would soon come to a halt and a ding sound that would notify Chishiki that he had reached his destination.

Jarvis had just finished his video conference with all his generals, and wasn’t very pleased with the recent activities, to put it mildly. More reports of trainers mollycoddling their Pokemon and not pushing them to their limits was not the news he was expecting. To add salt to the injury, the suspect list includes some of the high-ranking Genos officials too. “We need to refresh the command line. Re-assess all your second-in-command and replace them if they seem incapable. Once we are done with that, we will then move down the line until the lieutenants. I don’t want anyone who would turn a blind-eye to this Vitalis nonsense,” he concluded. Once all his generals responded with a sound ‘yes’ to that command, he wished them the best and cut the call.
A soft sigh escaped his lips as he looked out the window. Anyone would find the view astonishing; anyone but Jarvis. Being at the top-most floor on the tallest building at the centre of the city almost all day, every day, he had gotten very used to the view and the concrete jungle does not impress him anymore. He wants more: for the people, for the region. He couldn’t help but dream of a united Iwos where everyone understood the role of a trainer and that of a Pokemon.
The soft ding of the elevator brought him back to the present. The computer screen in front of him reminded him of his next. The elevator doors opened, revealing the young Chishiki, and bringing a gentle smile to his face. “Hello Chishiki! I got your father’s message. I hope your journey here was good. Please… take a seat,” he said, pointing to the chair right across him. “I have heard quite the stories of you from your father. I take it you are fascinated by swords?” he asked, with a curious expression as he reached for the Pokeball under his desk. He pressed the button and the Pokeball would grow before releasing a Honedge that hovered between him and Chishiki. “Meet Excalibur, the sword Pokemon. I’m sure you are familiar with the species. The unique combination of Ghost and Steel makes it one of the most sought-after Pokemon. This one here was bred by one of the best breeders in the region and was presented to me as a pledge to the Genos way. I want you to have him. From what I have heard of you, I can’t think of anyone better who would train him to his best capability.” Jarvis would then hand over the Honedge’s Pokeball to Chishiki with a reassuring nod. “Your starter kit should be ready downstairs. You can pick it up from the reception on your way out. If you require assistance with anything at any time, feel free to ask either me or your immediate supervisor. And… Welcome to Genos!”

☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ ☩ As the elevator doors opened up, Chishiki would be astonished by the office and its concrete jungle view in the back out of the windows, even though it was quite faint because of the height of the headquarters’building. It was indeed mind boggling that a building that is as big as this could be made, it was magnificent how different larger cities were compared to smaller towns like the one Chishiki was raised in. Walking into the office itself, Macradon would bow lightly at the sight of a man he thought to be the ‘Jarvis’ he was told about. “H-hello!” he said, slightly tense as he didn’t know much about this trainer thing, nor genos as a whole.
Walking up to take a seat, Macradon would bow his head before sitting down and thank the man “Thank you!”. Listening to what the man said, Chishiki noted the words that came out of his mouth, of swords. He would nod his head in agreement to the statement and would reply as well “Yes! I’m very fond of swords, I like them a lot.” he said and would raise his head from the nod again. It was quite the peculiar question, it could lead this conversation, perhaps the entire encounter to many different directions. He would reluctantly try to follow the movements of Jarvis’ hand as he reached for an object, a … pokéball. Out from the pokéball appeared a sword, a pokémon. Looking at the creature, if you could call it that, with great excitement, Macradon would listen and reply.
“A-ahh! I’ve seen one of these before! Roaming around Mount Gelido!” he said and would take a good look at this sword in front of him. The hovering sword seemed to be a great pokémon, especially from what Jarvis told him of the typing and that it was a well sought out pokémon. The sudden turnabout of this situation really confused him. “W-what? It’s for me? I can keep it? I … I … I don’t know what to say” he said, trying to make a comprehensible sentence. “Uh-uhm … thank you!” he said and stood up from his chair and bowed down deeply. He would straighten back up and would accept the pokéball of the sword pokemon. “I thank you deeply!” he said, following up another thank your.
He would nod at the last sentence Jarvis would tell him and nod at the end to tell that he understood it, but to be hundred percent sure, Chishiki would assure his understanding with words as well “Yes, thank you”. He would recall the sword pokemon back into its pokéball and shrinking it back to its normal size. He would put it in his pocket for now as he would bow once again before leaving for the elevator. Entering the elevator, Chishiki would greet Jarvis farewell with a nod and a slight wave before the doors closed before him “Farewell, sir. And thank you”. The elevator doors shut together and Chishiki was slowly descending down onto the ground floor again. Exiting the elevator, he would walk over to the reception and accept his starting gear, as well as a starter pokémon.
